  Language:   is the method of human communicati on, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way. For me language has become the character at question during the process of adapting and giving life to this production. Language… what a beautiful thing, it can unite us or separate us, open our souls and our humanity or close it with insecurities L anguage = Cultures and yet. There is another language that opens us up to a better state and furthers our possibilities, the language of art. My non-profit organization R.Evolución Latina concluded tonight the 2015 Beyond Workshop Series. It's been so rewarding seeing this students grow.  The BWS started February 23rd at The National Dance Institute for Learning & the Arts, and had its' first student sharing as part of the dance program on March 6th under the direction of Rickey Tripp and Gabriela García.  The second part of the program, started March 9th focused on Shakespeare and Voice and concluded tonight with a presentation of the students work.  Seeing them take the risks and go beyond in every artistic and human step is something that I can not really measure at the moment. I must wait a bit and see the result of the planted seeds in them.   The first 2 weeks of the program was focused on dance, ensemble building and expanding cultural exchange under the idea of Daring to Go Beyond. Dear friends, writers, actors, dancers, producers, musicians, Dear pueblo amado, my loving/passionate Latin people and all of the people I've met that love and understand the value of art, What does it take??? The Happiest Song Plays Last What does it take to make something new? To make something count? To go the distance, in ART? Just like in the story of Rocky ( NOW PLAYING ON BROADWAY ) we, as artists, are all in the quest for a chance to be validated. To make the work reach out far into peoples hearts. I see it coming... The time is here, Latinos are getting a great opportunity to be present and make our work as competive and valuable as any other. Is now when dreamers are standing up and following the path/journey of their dreams and all it takes is a supportive community to keep it going. Wait; What does it take? COMMUNITY!!!! I am so lucky to do what I love! Sitting here, in the Winter Garden Theatre witnessing the work of so many talented people, all worthy of deep admiration. Professionals of their craft and beyond it all having the greatest human attitude. I am blessed! I feel lucky!!!! Lucky not because things have come easy because that is not the case. From the very beginning of my journey I have worked hard and with passion in what I love. I have fought from the heart! ;-) And little by little the path has lead me to where I am today. THANK YOU UNIVERSE FOR IT! Lucky because I LEARN!!!! A great thing about the journey to art with a purpose is each day striving to keep my awareness as fragile and vulnerable as when I started. En este momento me encuentro entre dos mundos, el de producción creativa con trabajos nuevos en Salgado Productions y en el camino que me ha dado alas para llegar hasta aquí, el de mi propia carrera artística. We are excited about a New Year as we have just gotten the chance to say goodbye to a wonderful and productive 2013, a year that took us in Salgado Productions to different great places, introduced us to wonderful new artists and to exposed us to the creation of many different genres of art. In our most recent news letter we shared a few highlights from our past year of Art with A Purpose! And why not share it with you all in our Journey to Art with a purpose Blog but with a few more pictures as new years gifts? I. We started 2013 in Peru with our 4th production of Candela Fuerza y Pasion. Not only was this performance sold out, it was also filmed and airs on T.V through out Peru. II. In the Spring we supported a new Latino playwright, Carlos Mendoza and the development of his script Valencia.
