Our Year in Pictures... 7 great stories to honor as we start the NEW YEAR!


We are excited about a New Year as we have just gotten the chance to say goodbye to a wonderful and productive 2013, a year that took us in Salgado Productions to different great places, introduced us to wonderful new artists and to exposed us to the creation of many different genres of art.

In our most recent news letter we shared a few highlights from our past year of Art with A Purpose! And why not share it with you all in our Journey to Art with a purpose Blog but with a few more pictures as new years gifts?


I.
We started 2013 in Peru with our 4th production of Candela Fuerza y Pasion. Not only was this performance sold out, it was also filmed and airs on T.V through out Peru.







II.
In the Spring we supported a new Latino playwright, Carlos Mendoza and the development of his script Valencia. I had the honor of directing the staged reading at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre with a talented cast including Blanca Camacho, Javier Gomez, Ruben Flores, and Doreen Montalvo. We are excited about furthering this project so Stay tuned in 2014 for more info on this piece.









III
4ACT PRODUÇÕES hired our SP team to consult on the production logistics and artistic elements of In The Heights. After traveling to Brazil for auditions our team continued consultation work in NYC. In The Heights is scheduled to open in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.







IV.
We had the chance of working with NICKELODEON's  Dora's Explorer Girls - In September, when SP brought Dora and her friends to life with Choreography for a new animated feature.







V.
The Latin Quarter Show at Revel Hotel in Atlantic City ran from October 10th- December 1st. This choreography merged rhythms, from Samba, Salsa, Tango and Flamenco. Click here for more photos.















VI.
In October SP returned to Cali Colombia with DTeatro Produciones and María SanforDance 2nd Broadway Musical Theatre Workshop. Students expanded their performance skills with our unique focus of Art with A Purpose.







VII.
Cecilia Bracamonte, Aniversario Sin Cuenta Concert - Our year ended in Peru, creating a sensational new show with 20 dancers, 18 musicians, and at times over 60 artists onstage in collaboration Purva Vibra Producciones to celebrate the life and 50 year career of one of Peru's beloved artists.
