What is under the sea? Qué hay debajo del mar?

Image
It’s been a month here in front of the ocean taking some time to feed my soul. Nature is so magical, so healing, so powerful. She re-constructs, cleans, and rejuvenates in such a magical way….. Now I return to the NYC… To work , to speak , to write from another point of view, to be in my home and from there take new action . “Before I go, I take in the ocean and the sand.  I try to find out how I can keep that with me, and integrate it in my NYC home. I must BE Present, I must BE FULLY; I must be complete and open to give the best of me. And if I fail, forget or doubt the memory of the ocean and the peace I felt here, I will be find it again in any ounce of water or human life around me and it will manifest again…  I look into the sea. While I seek guidance, I realize that under the sea there are SO MANY LAYERS, and such DEPTH that we may never understand.  This water that now surrounds me -as my body enters it and I allow its temperature to change my own- it is...

As I reflect on life... There are so many dreams inside my head but there is one focus that unites them all, the making of ART WITH A PURPOSE. It’s not always an easy balancing act, and sometimes, it's not a simple task to find time for it all but it’s certainly worth the try. Great things have happened in our universe, in our world, in our societies because someone tried. In my reflection, I think of the miracles that affect us everyday. For instance, think about GRAVITY itself, the miraculous force that allows us to walk this earth. This is a GREAT blessing that we can not ignore. We have the honor to Sing, Dance, Express, Communicate, and Inspire. ART is not just an easy thing but we are blessed to get to work with it, in it, through it EACH DAY OF OUR LIFE. It’s important to take a little time off to reflect on the everyday miracles, blessings and privileges we experience. This allows us to start again with more commitment, more drive and more PURPOSE. I wil...

Embracing questions as a tool for growth...

Image
Remember when you were a little kid and you would ask your parents "Why?" about something (or everything) and your parent's answer would be, "Because I say so!" Wait! Or was that just me? Regardless, I grew up never wanting to be that way, never wanting to have the answer I receive or give be "because I say so". Although, I have learned as I have grown, that at times in certain situations this is the answer that will allow action and progress to move forward. But for the most part, if there is purpose in the work there will always be an honest reason to give when developing, building, constructing or giving birth to something new. I am blessed, as I have a smart, active, and inspiring group of advisers that I can always trust to ask me questions. I am just one person with a dream and a passion and we already know “ no man is an island ”. I depend on the various passions, talents and points of view of those around me in order to grow, question and...
