Dejo lo que ahora es mi casa (NY) y llevo conmigo a mi familia, camino a lo que es mi PATRIA (Puerto Rico). Los últimos años, La Bella isla del encanto -lugar donde nací- se ha visto afectada por muchas realidades. La política, los huracanes, los temblores y entre otra cosas, la pandemia que impacta al mundo entero. Esta realidad que hoy nos viste, causa tanto impacto y a la vez nos lleva de la mano a tantas cosas nuevas, o quien sabe, no tan nuevas… Porque quien sabe a qué llamamos (o llamo) nuevo hoy. A veces es simplemente el regreso a lo cercano, un re-encuentro con la raíz de nuestro ser. Un re-encuentro obligatorio con lo que necesitamos recordar, aprender, o limpiar dentro de nosotros mismos. Today is the last day of another production I get to direct.... there are no words, TRULY, to describe what I feel.... Photo by Jason River When I think about R.Evolución Latina I think about the amount of lives that are empowered not just by our organization but by the many other art related non-profits who truly dare to go beyond. I think of  the people who service with love and compassion, sharing the best of themselves to support the everlasting necessity of a better world. I feel the same of all leaders, whether they are company owners or the good intentioned politicians (which are rare), leaders who care to find ways to better the lives of those around them.  But most importantly our teachers, the unsung hero's of society come to mind. As I mentioned before it's not always easy to balance the acts between, performing, producing, creating and running 2 companies but it is possible. There is so much to celebrate and share as I have been quiet with the Blog but not as quiet with ACTION. Salgado Productions and me have been on it, from Rocky Broadway, to The Letterman Show, to reading 2 hand fulls of new possible Scripts, developing events, keeping an eye on the Tony Awards, Nurturing a baby that's on it's way (I MEAN THIS LITERALLY) Planning a show for Puerto Rico and more. 2014 has so far been a year of blessing and re-connecting with the wonderful city of NY and the incredible community of BROADWAY and I am hoping that the Blogs to come reflect that. Hoy desperté con un sueño donde los seres humanos se burlaban y abusaban de los seres humanos.  Había una señora y tenía un ARTE, no sabía yo cual era pues nadie le daba la oportunidad de usarlo. Aunque ella con amor servía estaba siendo oprimida, explotada y abusada emocional y fisicamente. En un momento dado abrió la boca y cantó. Su canto era dulce y lleno de paz, su letra era una de fuerte contenido amoroso, sus lágrimas eran un acto de purificar y con toda su magia desperté llorando. EL ARTE ES NUESTRA ARMA MAS PODEROSA. PODEMOS SANAR ALMAS Y CORAZONES CON EL. LA MUSICA, LA POESIA, LA FOTOGRAFIA, LA PINTURA, ETC ETC. Todo juega un papel protagónico en nuestras tierras, en nuestras mentes, en nuestras almas. Por eso hacer nuestro arte con alto propósito es escencial para los nuestros. Para el crecimiento humano y social colectivo que vamos forjando. El arte es nuestra R.Evolución.
