We celebrate On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, which played its final performance yesterday at Drury Lane in Chicago, IL, while "1776" finished its opening week of performances. And the musical Aguardiente begins rehearsals TODAY!

  Entre Libros y Ritmos: Reflexiones desde mi Sala Esta semana me he refugiado en mi sala, rodeado de libros, escribiendo un nuevo show. Pienso en mi trayectoria y me parece fascinante cómo mis inicios moldearon mi versatilidad. Aunque he transitado muchos caminos, la verdad es que, como hoy siente mi hijo, el baile fue lo que se robó mi corazón en mis primeros años como artista. Ingresé a la Universidad de Puerto Rico audicionando como actor y fui aceptado. Estudié, pero en aquel tiempo mi mayor ingreso económico venía de mis pasos y del carisma que encontraba en el movimiento. Ya en Nueva York me tocó trabajar duro, pero también tenía herramientas pedagógicas que me permitieron vivir enseñando y bailando, mientras seguía desarrollando mi carrera actoral.   A Night of Celebration and Hope: Latine Stories on Broadway Tonight, I have the honor of attending the opening night of  Real Women Have Curves  on Broadway — a landmark moment that fills me with pride, excitement, and hope. This moment is made even more meaningful knowing that my mentor,  Sergio Trujillo , is leading the charge as both director and choreographer, showing the world the excellence of Latine leadership at the highest level. For the first time ever,  two Latine-themed shows  are running on Broadway at the same time:  Real Women Have Curves and  Buena Vista Social Club . This is monumental.
