The World Premier of Song of Solomon is in rehearsals.

Song of Solomon is a tragic, epic romance, based on the Biblical Song
of Songs. Set in ancient Israel, we follow the secret romance between
King Solomon and a brilliant young vineyard girl, Almah, who inspires
the most famous love poetry of all time. The stakes are Solomon's life,
the woman he loves, and the fate of Israel." The piece will be directed by ROCKY BROADWAY'S Luis Salgado.
Presented as part of the NYC Thespis Festival , the show will be Performing at The Actor's Temple - 339 West 47th Street in Manhattan. The cast includes Evan McCormack who plays King Solomon opposite Ann McCormack who plays Almah. The cast also includes Danicah Waldo, Casey Manning, Levin Valayil, Jonathan D. Morales, Rocio Lopez, Shannen Rae, Alessandra Baldacchino, and Tony Paterniti, with a supporting ensemble of Anthony Logan Cole, Aaron Dalla Villa, Dylan C. Digel, Tim Fitzsimons, Leslie Kyle Hudson, Andrea Nevil, Jennifer O'Neill, Irene Patino, Hannah Rable, Megan Tischhauser, Greg Uliasz, & Charlie Willis.
The show features Music Direction by Eugene Gwozdz, The Salgado Productions team consulting all departments are Lighting Design Consultant Herrick Goldman, Scenic Design Consultant Kate Rance, Costume Design Consultant Harry Nadal, Asst. Director Valeria Cossu and Production Supervisor Heather Hogan. General Management will be in the hands of Salgado productions.
Salgado, who in recent years has directed successful shows in Peru such as Candela Fuerza y Pasion and Aniversario Sin Cuenta, made his directorial debut in NYC with the family musical Amigo Duende. This will be the first time he directs for the Thespis Festival in NYC. "It's a great challenge" says Luis Salgado, "This show is an epic music journey from beginning to end and as part of the festival we are challenged to take away over an hour of the script and still allow the audience to experience the deep catharsis that these great writers are seeking. I am thrilled to be collaborating with such a smart group of creative minds who are very passionate about these piece".
Performance dates are Tuesday, August 26th at 9:00p, Friday, August 29th at 9:00p and Sunday, August 31st at 4:30pm
