An honest process of discovery and RESPECT: The Making of Song of Solomon

It's simply so thrilling to be surrounded by people who would simply die for the work. People who are not afraid to give it all and risk failing for the commitment to the project. It is so magical to question the material each morning in every single rehearsal and with the questions find the answers that give life to the relationship, the music and more. So far this has been my experience working as Director and General Manager with Salgado Productions for the new musical Song Of Solomon.

I will let the exclusive pictures by Victoria Medina do all the talking for me:

SONG OF SOLOMON is a new musical created by Andrew Beall and Neil Van Leeuwen.

The musical is a tragic, epic romance, based on the Biblical Song of Songs. Set in ancient Israel, we follow the secret romance between King Solomon and a brilliant young vineyard girl, Almah, who inspires the most famous love poetry of all time. The stakes are Solomon's life, the woman he loves, and the fate of Israel."

Evan McCormack plays King Solomon opposite Ann McCormack who plays Almah.

The cast includes Danicah Waldo, Casey Manning, Levin Valayil, Jonathan D. Morales, Rocio Lopez, Shannen Rae, Alessandra Baldacchino, and Tony Paterniti, with a supporting ensemble of Anthony Logan Cole, Aaron Dalla Villa, Dylan C. Digel, Tim Fitzsimons, Leslie Kyle Hudson, Andrea Nevil, Jennifer O'Neill, Irene Patino, Hannah Rable, Megan Tischhauser, Greg Uliasz, & Charlie Willis.

The show features Music Direction by Eugene Gwozdz, Lighting Design Consultant Herrick Goldman, Scenic Design Consultant Kate Rance, Costume Design Consultant Harry Nadal, Asst. Director Valeria Cossu and Production Supervisor Heather Hogan.

SONG OF SOLOMON will play The Actors Temple on August 26, 29 and 31, 2014.
