Dorney Park Summer Nights 

Luis Salgado is directing the programming and overall aesthetic at Dorney Park this summer with his team of artists. Be transported to tropical shores with live entertainment, authentic Caribbean and Latin American food. Ximena Salgado and Rumbamena bring the fast footwork of the Caribbean while Daniel Gutierrez & Manteca Blue fill the night with music.

Join the SP team in celebrating the best of Caribbean and Latin American culture at Dorney Park’s Summer Nights.

2024 Jimmy Awards at the Minskoff Theatre

The Jimmy Awards honor the best in high school musical theatre performers from across the country, ultimately bestowing the title of Best Performance by an Actor and Actress to two students.

Luis Salgado shares, "For the past two years, I’ve been able to serve as both director and choreographer of a featured group within the production, helping shape the performances of young, talented actors. I am inspired by them and what connects me to these awards the most is the ongoing value of arts education, the relevance of teachers, who during the year, give their all to inspire the next generation. I take my hat off to them."

This year Anna Guerra, Austin Davy and Daniel Guitierrez join Luis to create the Act 1 Finale of the night. Congratulations to Damson Chola Jr., and Gretchen Shope for their awards as best performers this year.

Acabo de llegar a mi hogar de una noche maravillosa. El publico en el teatro Marquis estaba a todo dar y la energía en el escenario llena de poder. Nuestro elenco de ON YOUR FEET es uno muy especial y comparto con ellos la alegría del momento presente; pero a la distancia, en mi isla caribeña de Puerto Rico a la misma vez que me “trepaba” al escenario ocurría otro evento MUY especial para mi. Uno que hacia a cada segundo mi trabajo en la ciudad de los rasca-cielos aun mas completo y contundente. En mi único momento de respiro dentro del primer acto, estaba en mi camerino terminando de ponerme la corbata y a unos tres minutos de entrar otra vez a escena para hacer CONGA, -el final del primer acto-.
