On Your Feet reviews at TUTS & beyond!

"This is a beautifully cast show full of authentic Latin performers. They have all had input into the choreography for this production, which Luis Salgado headed up. The director has amped up the dancing from the original Broadway version and made the final journey after Gloria’s accident far more spiritual and compelling. I got chills watching as each ensemble member became a fan writing a letter to Gloria Estefan for her to get better because it felt so honest to see these Latin performers paying tribute to who we routinely credit as the “Queen of Latin Pop.” The show itself is a love letter to Gloria, Emilio, and their fans. So Luis gets it, and this show is one of the best incarnations of ON YOUR FEET theater fans will ever get to see. The ensemble is perfection, and there was not one missed note or beat in the entire show."  - Brett Cullum

"The heart of the story thumps to a toe-tapping rhythm under the spectacle director/choreographer Luis Salgado helms, buoyed by equally sparkling performances." - HoustonPress

"The touring company is directed and beautifully choreographed by Luis Salgado and is led by Gaby Albo as Gloria and Samuel Garnica as Emilio. " Nancy Sasso Janis

"Luis Salgado — who presciently played director and choreographer Kenny Ortega in the Broadway version of the show — delivers the goods." - The WashingtonPost

"Director and Choreography Luis Salgado achieve the ultimate accolade for creating a production that showcases an organic portrayal of a story of two people who were passionate, hardworking, and sympathetic to fight for their rights and their desires. Salgado also showcases in his choreography authentic dance styles that move the story in a genuine way that feels well ground and original. During some moments, the production feels like a party where you will just want to get up and dance on your feet. The production also includes a range of talented Hispanic actors that bring down the house with their heavenly good dance moves and their unique charisma. One highlight in the show is in the musical number ‘Wrapped’ where a message of community, love, and passion is felt at every corner with the support of traditional Puerto Rican dance styles and beautiful vivid lighting." - Beyonddisway
