Moderated by Luis Salgado and Gabriela García, the panel featured talented members of the Broadway production: Angélica Beliard, Carlos E. González, Ilda Mason, Da’Von Moody, Leonardo Reyna, and co-producer Ioana Alfonso.   A Night of Celebration and Hope: Latine Stories on Broadway Tonight, I have the honor of attending the opening night of  Real Women Have Curves  on Broadway — a landmark moment that fills me with pride, excitement, and hope. This moment is made even more meaningful knowing that my mentor,  Sergio Trujillo , is leading the charge as both director and choreographer, showing the world the excellence of Latine leadership at the highest level. For the first time ever,  two Latine-themed shows  are running on Broadway at the same time:  Real Women Have Curves and  Buena Vista Social Club . This is monumental.   EMERGING YOUNG ARTIST AWARDS International director, choreographer, and educator, Luis Salgado of Salgado Productions. On April 28, three high school students will experience the joy of live theatre in a whole new way – as playwrights. Christopher Cesarano, of Tarrytown, New York; Mia Plugh, of Mamaroneck, New York; and Sydney Healey of Rye, New York; were named winners of The Palace Theatre’s 2025 Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Awards for their writing of an original one-act play. All three will witness their voices and visions come to life with a staged reading by professional actors at The Palace in Stamford.     Cesarano was awarded $500 for his play, “A Thousand Missed Messages;” Plugh, a junior at Rye Neck High School for “Ithaca Unspoken;” and Healey of Rye for her play “Breathing Room.” Plugh and Healey also both received $500 for their winning plays.   Christopher Cesarano The Palace has brought in award-winning international director, choreographer ...
