The Journey to Art With A Purpose

    Spring is HERE! So much has happened during our first 2 months of the new year! We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect, inspire, and work with our community of artists ready to go beyond. Check out some of our stories! We are honored to announce  Lilian Andrea De León  as the 2023 Doreen Montalvo ‘Do It Anyway’ Scholarship recipient. Lillian is a Mexican American hailing from Texas who is currently pursuing a career in the arts. Alongside her journey of creating art, Lillian shared with us her passion for creating a more inclusive and diverse theater community. Our R.Evolución Latina family was inspired by her determination and desire to make this dream a reality. Out of the several applicants, there were two finalists that stood out by showcasing Doreen’s talents, storytelling, and passion for the arts. We are proud to honor two additional artists who shared their artistry and truly honored Doreen with their work! Please join us in congratulating  Rebekkah Vega-Romero 

  Broadway Backwards Broadway Backwards 8 pm on Monday, March 13 New Amsterdam Theatre, New York City Broadway Backwards  is back. The annual, one-night-only extravaganza tells LGBTQ+ stories like no other production on Broadway. It’s an evening where your favorite Broadway stars, backed by a live orchestra, reinterpret classic and current songs of musical theater into anthems of LGBTQ+ experiences. Broadway Backwards  is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits Broadway Cares and New York City’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Special guests set to perform this year include F.
