Hoy se cumplen tres días de estar de regreso en Lima Perú y si me preguntas cómo me siento, sólo podría decir FELIZ!   Que maravilloso es hacer lo que se ama; construir, inspirar y ser inspirado; poder usar eso que la vida te dio para APRENDER, CRECER y CONSTRUIR cosas hermosas y productivas para la humanidad. Remember when you were a little kid and you would ask your parents "Why?" about something (or everything) and your parent's answer would be, "Because I say so!" Wait! Or was that just me? Regardless, I grew up never wanting to be that way, never wanting to have the answer I receive or give be "because I say so". Although, I have learned as I have grown, that at times in certain situations this is the answer that will allow action and progress to move forward. But for the most part, if there is purpose in the work there will always be an honest reason to give when developing, building, constructing or giving birth to something new. I am blessed, as I have a smart, active, and inspiring group of advisers that I can always trust to ask me questions. I am just one person with a dream and a passion and we already know “ no man is an island ”. On the day of the Puerto Rican day parade, what better way to celebrate than the Tony Awards? This is the best gift for those who love theater and dream of more stories told through the magic of LIVE THEATRE. What a great CELEBRATION, of artists. Artists, "You lift our culture with your artistry" as Judith Light said tonight.   The first winner of the night is Cindy Fernandez as she is taking our 2 tickets to Monsters University for her reply to my blog . As we are only 2 days away from the selection of the best Broadway scripts, scores, directors, actors, musicals and plays, something came to my mind.... Luis Salgado at The Tony's After Party with In The Heights What if there was a Tony award for the production that the audience feels made art with the most purpose? A production capable of not sacrificing its commercial potential on the great white way while never losing the integrity of its art and its purpose. I have had the honor of being part of some wonderful shows on and off Broadway but nothing like the process of creating the musical In the Heights. There was such a unique team of young, hungry artists that were balancing the act of creating art and at the same time were sharing their heart and their passion.
